Happy Holidays WIP Community!
2017 holiday 2As 2017 begins to wind down it’s timely for me to reflect on this past year and in doing so I am filled with pride and appreciation. Each one of us has made a unique difference with our contributions of time, resources, creative spirit to further the mission of Women In Parking – driving gender diversity in the workplace to raise the tide for all concerned.  Our collective effort has yielded amazing results, namely:

We delivered our first Lunch and Learn in Houston Texas that was a standing room only event, led by industry experts who facilitated a lively discussion around leadership and developing our own career maps in the parking world.
Our mentoring program has a record number of participants, with each pair gaining and giving insight, industry knowledge and practical tips to be more effective in our respective roles.

And as always, all of our networking events were a smash success, bringing together professionals from all spectrums of the industry to reconnect with friends and meet new peers and share opportunities that have proven to be mutually beneficial.
Wishing you each a prosperous 2018 - I look forward to working together to create new member benefits, further expand gender diversity across the industry and continue to be a part of parking history!

Enjoy a safe and happy holiday season!
Laura Longsworth

Greetings from the WIP Board
We have a had an exciting year of growth and change.  I am very excited to take on my new role as WIP Chairperson in January.  I am following two great past chairs, Colleen Niese and Laura Longsworth.  They made this position easy to step into by laying an amazing foundation for WIP and growing WIP to where we are today.

We had some terrific board members finish their two-year term and made room for our newly elected board members.  I want to thank the outgoing board members (Stan Bochniak, Andi Campbell, Tom Carter, Kirsten Dolan, Nicole Hankins, Nicolle Judge and Colleen Niese) for their hard work, volunteerism and dedication to WIP.  We grow each year because of the amazing board members and volunteers we have.  We hope to see you continue in your involvement with WIP and look forward to seeing you at future events.

A special thank you to Colleen Niese who not only served on the board for 5 years while WIP was getting off the ground, but also, she served as our first Chairperson.  She set the bar high.  We will miss you on the board but am sure your knowledge and experience will still guide us as we continue to grow.

I can’t wait to see what 2018 holds for Women in Parking.  I look forward to meeting you all and getting you involved in this amazing organization.

Marcy Sparrow
